Park’N Fly Data Breach Exposes Personal Info of 1 Million Customers
Park’N Fly, a prominent provider of off-airport parking services in Canada, recently announced a significant data breach affecting 1 million customers. The breach occurred after hackers obtained unauthorized access to Park’N Fly’s network through stolen VPN credentials between July 11 and July 13, 2024. The discovered intrusion on August 1 revealed that personal information such as full names, email addresses, physical addresses, Aeroplan numbers, and CAA numbers were accessed, although financial or payment card information was not exposed.
The company has taken measures to restore impacted systems within five days and is implementing additional security protocols to prevent future incidents. Park’N Fly is urging affected customers to remain vigilant for potential phishing attempts and to consider resetting passwords, especially for linked accounts like the Aeroplan frequent-flyer program.
